Be on the lookout for Ali Muhammad’s 21st Century Hustle, which will be on newsstands in early June. Yes, I know we’ve all watched lately as many magazines have folded—Suede, Tracks, Elle Girl, Cargo, Budget Living, Radar, to name a few. But I also feel good about the chances for success here. First, Ali is the former ad director for Vibe Magazine, so he knows the magazine publishing business inside and out. Second, the magazine’s a great example of a targeted product: Think of it as Fast Company for the hip hop generation.
Check back here for a more in-depth interview with Ali. After all, I want to know more about “global grind culture,” and you should, too, since some of your loyals and potential loyals might be in this group.
