For sure, I've got some ideas on the key trends to keep an eye on in '07. But before I post my thoughts, I'd like to hear yours. So:
- What were the big trends in pop culture in 2006 that affected marketing?
- Likewise, were their any marketing efforts that impacted pop culture?
- Finally, if you could have the ear of one really senior marketer, what would you tell him or her to be aware of as the new year approaches?
I'll gather up all the responses and present a compilation in a week or so.
Thanks!

1. The continued rise of Perez Hilton and other blogs like it (more readers than the weekly rags like Star)
2. As far as marketing affecting pop culture, certainly channels like YouTube and MySpace have empowered unknown talent to come forward.
3. Influential CMO -- Show me the way. The really good ones are empowering innovation and experimentation.
